Here I return with the #nailinspiration series! I found this romper online which looks very chic and classic, so I picked up the striped design and colour combination on the romper itself and used it on my nails.
I was browsing through the Topshop Singapore page when I saw this romper! If only I was as tall as the model, I would really love to get it. :(
What I created was exactly like the romper above, nothing too fancy!
Nail Polishes used: I used Black Onyx from OPI as my base. It’s a full black polish – I did 2 coats to ensure 100% opacity. The white stripes were done using acrylic paint while the blue stripes were done using Clio Nail Polish.
I like to add simple gold embellishments whenever I did solid black manicures for a bit of glam.
My intial polish on the index and pinky was a Revlon base with some iridescent flakes. When I did my manicure, I didn’t have my normal Seche Vite bottle with me. I had a big refill bottle though, so I thought I would then pour a little into a glass dish and use a brush to paint top coat on my nails.
What a terrible mistake! It shrunk my polish really badly (I think I had a very thick layer on!) and caused bubbles as well. I was so grossed out I had to peel away the polish at work, and remove them immediately once I got home. Painted Black Onyx from OPI instead. My life saviour!
Hope you have enjoyed my latest blog post on the Nail Inspiration series!
